Upon spending several years studying art and literature in Europe, Stephen Estelle took a keen interest in Buddhism and Tibetan language when spending several years studying art and literature in Europe. This inspired him to move to Nepal where he spent five years studying Buddhist philosophy at a local monastery. While in Asia, Stephen Estelle learned from a family whose lineage has been making jewelry for the maharajas of Nepal for more than four centuries. Stephen’s rich and varied background inspires his uniquely calm voice in the world of fine jewelry. The driving force behind his work is his philosophy that elegance necessitates simplicity, and the simpler something is, the longer it will be appreciated. He does not cast or machine his jewelry. Everything Stephen designs is hand-forged and handcrafted. Stephen starts by creating complex designs and then refines them by removing unnecessary elements. Apple Park’s Picnic Pals were inspired by classic children’s toys, reinvented with the finest eco-friendly materials available. From a family of experienced toy makers, Apple Park’s founder, Angie Ting, set out to create the line of eco-friendly products with her two young children in mind.
