Sergio Furnari was born in Caltagirone, Sicily, Italy, and resides in New York City. His most collected work is his sculpture titled Lunchtime On A Skyscraper.

“True to my environment, an innate, artistic talent became evident early in my life, and by age five I was drawing and sculpting. At age six my first job was sweeping floors at the Caltagirone Sculpting Foundry. This was the perfect arena to fuel my creative passion.I spent the next six years there working, learning and tuning my skills. I used to get out of art school at two in the afternoon and then go to the foundry until eight every day.

Though appreciative of my background, I had a fascination with New York City, and during my first visit at age twenty, I discovered that behind the impressive skyscrapers were immigrants from all over the world. To me, this made New York City the greatest city on earth.

I believe I was destined to become a master in sculpture and painting. Even my surname, ‘Furnari’, which means, ‘the people who attend the oven with fire’ alluded to my future at the kiln. Through the years I took sculpting to new levels, blending old and new to create my own unique style. I have learned and perfected all different types of materials and mediums; terracotta, porcelain, bronze, stainless steel.

My sculptures represent regular hard-working people with their own joy and sadness of life. My approach is both sensitive and whimsical, and my keen ability to show emotion instantly brings the viewer into my subjects’ world. My sculptures come alive, as if they may have souls. Even a thousand years from now they will still be alive.” – Sergio Furnari

With a lifelong intrigue of gemstones and an interest in mathematics, Sam Woehrmann was lured into the metal arts. Learning to both manipulate metal and work with stones led his work into what it is today. He not only found the amazing colors gems produce, but also the raw crystal structures intriguing. The use of this and different color combinations of metal alloys let him explore designs not only in shape, but in depths along another plane of vision. Being influenced by Earth’s creations and urban backdrops gives his work a strong geometric and industrial look.

“My work is hand fabricated in gold and silver with an emphasis on colored gemstones and diamonds with unique cuts. I love incorporating the unusual into traditional techniques to bring about a modern result that still possesses a whimsical spirit. Whether it be contrasting yet complimenting color combinations or a structure that pays homage to the Art Deco era, there is a never ending pool of inspiration to draw from as I create my adornments.” – Sam Woehrmann

Sam Woehrmann’s jewelry training comes from numerous schools and a multitude of instructors from around the world. Also having worked in the studios of two accomplished goldsmiths molded his work into the style he presents today. HeI lives and works out of the Castro District of San Francisco.

One Happy Leaf is the western Australian jewelry brand launched to inspire style with sustainability and simplicity. Made with eco-friendly bamboo we create beautiful jewelry to demonstrate that style and sustainability can coexist. We are proud that for every order placed, we plant a tree through Trees for the Future. Since the creation of One Happy Leaf, we have planted 15,087 trees.

“Born and raised in sunny Perth, Australia, I am passionate about making beautiful jewelry where fashion and sustainability can coexist. I spend my days designing and making jewelry that’s an eco-friendly alternative to mainstream jewelry. My jewelry is for nature lovers, aspiring minimalists, wearers of messy buns and unapologetic smiles. I’m on a mission to make the world a greener place. For every order placed, a tree is planted on your behalf. The trees are planted in areas requiring rehabilitation or ecological diversity to provide homes for cute animals. Yep, you can sleep well at night knowing that your purchase made the world that little bit better! In addition to planting trees, I choose to use bamboo instead of traditional materials to ensure my business has less of an environmental impact on the world. Bamboo is an environmentally friendly alternative; it’s fast growing and needs little water to survive. The sustainable bamboo jewelry looks great on you, but it’s even better for the environment.” – Anna Anagno -One Happy Leaf

I’ve been immersed in everything Napa Valley for twenty three years. So when I started making jewelry, I couldn’t help but be inspired by what I saw and felt every day. Everything about my life and my work is informed by the sunshine and the sweetness in the air, the soft breezes and delicate rains, the easy-going lifestyle and, of course, this community built around a strong tradition of winemaking and hospitality. And while it is founded on history and tradition and moves at a relaxed pace, life in Napa Valley is always in motion. It’s a constant swirl of tradition and innovation, farm to table goodness and elevated style. Because true comfort and ease is all about balance. It’s about surrounding yourself with beauty in a way that feels natural; and nurturing a desire for luxury with everyday approachability.

I am in love with gemstone jewelry, such as Labradorite, Moonstone and Aquamarine. And when I pair them with leather and brass beads and my own signature metal elements I am able to create pieces that are very luxurious yet versatile and easy.

It’s the balance between drama and simplicity, flashy and approachable, modern and classic that I call, Rustic Luxe. And It’s my desire to share it with you when you wear my jewelry. Whether you’ve become the woman you are today, via dramatic shifts or gradual movements, my Rustic Luxe pieces are designed to enhance your own personal style and your own personal balance and to honor what it took for you to achieve it. – Alexia Dahmes, Alexia VIola

As a woman, Hindu, Muslim, artist, and mother, I work to create harmony by expressing the universality of humanity through paintings, sculpture, and calligraphy. Inspired by the imagery, sculpture, and writings of my Indian heritage and Islamic spirituality, I use my artistic voice to break down the barriers that divide in order to foster peace and understanding. My works are greatly influenced by my studies and experiences in different cultures around the world. After graduating in Fine Arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda, India, I lived and worked in Iran and Kuwait, where I was exposed to a wealth of Islamic arts and Arabic calligraphy. Calligraphy, miniatures, and the folk art of Islam and the Hindu tradition continue to influence my work today.

As a visual artist I have had almost 40 solo shows nationally and internationally, and have won several prestigious awards including the East Bay Community’s Fund for Artists in 2012 and 2014. the City of Berkeley’s Individual Artist Grant Award in 2014, 2015, and 2016. I have public art pieces on display throughout the country and have also written and published six books.
